Other Characters: Kovu, Don Karnage, Jack Frost

Name: Hunter
From: Road Rovers
Appearance:

Age: 5? 6? *shrug*
Gender: Male
Personality:
Hunter is everything you’d expect from a retriever mix. He’s super loyal, super generous, enjoys long walks on the beach, will always happy to see you - complete with wagging tail and big dopey grin – and he’s also great at playing fetch. Of course, being part retriever, he’s rather dense, as evidenced by a total inability to realize what is being pointed at right behind him rather often. His qualifications to lead the pack are more than enough to make up for this, though, as while he’s not often the first to notice a threat, he’ll be the first to respond to it.
He can be smug and prideful, though it’s not often that he’s taken down a notch. His superpowers give him an edge, and he uses them very well; not only that, but he knows when the powers of one of the other Rovers would be put to better use than his own. This means that while he’s often trolling the other members of the team, they still generally respect his authority as leader, and always follow his orders. It likely helps that even though he’s a troll, he’s still generous and fun-loving toward all his team mates. He gives them treats or plays fetch with them, or gives them backrubs, or anything of the sort to help them enjoy themselves around the base.
As a dog, his priorities generally tend toward pleasing his Master, which means completing the mission. The retriever part of him gives him great pride in this, so he actually enjoys carrying out his missions quite a bit. He always seems to be enjoying himself, provided nothing’s going horribly wrong at that particular moment.
Hunter’s always ready with a one-liner, usually either one of his many, many catchphrases or a snarky quip at either contemporary real-world events because what is a fourth wall to a 90s WB cartoon or at whatever situation the Rovers have found themselves in.
In regards to Muzzle, we see Hunter’s soft side. Hunter seems to be the only one Muzzle really likes, though the Rottie still stays in his straight jacket and muzzle even when playing with Hunter around the base (Hunter’s nice, not crazy).

Backstory:
Hunter was a simple, good dog, a retriever mix taken to a pound when he was found stray. One day, out of nowhere, a strange light and a disembodied voice told him he had been “chosen.” He followed the voice’s directions without hesitation, and found himself deep, deep underground in a secret base. He was led into a machine, and when he came out, he was part human – enough to stand on two legs, be able to talk, and hold things with his hands. The only parts that still looked doglike were his head and his tail, really. His new master, a human named Shepard, told him that he was now the leader of the Road Rovers, a team made of up dogs just like Hunter.
The retriever mix has been doing that job ever since. The only time he ever took a day off was to visit his mother, whom he hadn’t seen since he was eight months old – and even then, it was only for an hour or two. Other than that, every mission, every bit of danger, he was right there for, from the day Shepard summoned them. He even saved Muzzle from the same pound he was called from in a situation that may or may not have involved time traveling shenanigans.
When he’s not needed by the Rovers, he’s the beloved house dog of the President of the United States. He takes his job there very seriously too, and puts his best paw forward for his owners there. He’s well behaved and a perfect retriever mix, just like he should be. To let him get back to the underground base when needed, Shepard installed an elevator in Hunter’s doghouse.

Moral Standing: Good
Dreams: Being a dog, Hunter’s dreams are pretty simple. As long as Master loves him, he’ll always be content just living day by day with the Rovers.
Fears: As fiercely loyal as Hunter is, the thought of losing one of his teammates scares him to death. He’s very protective of them, even though he knows they can handle themselves on their own.
Extra:
Hunter likes to list off his superpowers kind of at random, but the only two of real note are his super speed, and his bloodhound nose. We can’t really tell just how super his super speed is, as he doesn’t use it all that often. He leaves a trail of flames behind him when he uses it, though.
